What do you do, when your sewing room is torn up?

It is finally happening. My studio is getting those badly needed repairs... but that leave me with no place to play!   At least not my usual place.  I've been moved to the kitchen table for the duration of those repairs!  Heck no one needs to eat around here anyway!   LOL!

What to do, what to do?

I recently saw one of my fellow bloggers, SeaSide Stitches post named "Drowning in Scraps".
Well, if that don't spell out my world right now!
You can see her post right HERE

One of her projects is this Wild and Goosey Quilt!
After having to move all my "stuff" out of my sewing room, it was painfully evident that I was overloaded with scraps...
This might just be the answer!
(Although, that incredible selvage log cabin sure speaks to me)

Wild and Goosey is a Bonnie Hunter quilt that was in a Quiltmaker Magazine from 2013.
You can read more about it right HERE

So I printed out my patterns...
Whew, we need 320 of these little 3-1/2" guys!
Wonder just how much scrap that will bust?

 Here a goosey, there a goosey...everywhere a loosey goosey!
I've got a loooooong way to go!
:-)

  1. Good luck in clearing out those scraps - they secretly multiply - seriously.

  2. I sympathize with not having your quilting space. My toys are currently in the back of a truck on its way to sunny florida. They won't be delivered until next Saturday. It's Ok since I wont get there until Tuesday. I do have backup toys there already so I will survive. I really like the scrap quilt you are thinking about. very ambitious. Will you do it as a beginner ender project or as a whole quilt project?

  3. Who are you kidding!! You will never make a dent in the scrap pile. We all know they grow in the dark when no-one is watching.
Good luck with all the work in your studio. How long will it take? I don't envy all the work shifting things in and out but it will be worth it - yes??
Meanwhile, family can BBQ outside regardless of weather and a picnic table with do for mealtimes!!

  8. I will be cheering you on too, along with Thearica. If you need more scraps, let me know. Haha. I know there is no way they can all get used up. It's crazy magic the way they multiply.

  12. Goodness, griefness, Agnes! Are you sure you'll have anything left? Isn't this interfering with your instinct to horde? I mean, WOW!
