T'was the Night Before Christmas

And all thru the house... I don't know about your house, but mine is crazy,!Not "A" creature is stirring, but many of them it seems. That's what the holidays are all about though.  :-)

Wishing you all the very best of Christmas's and a prosperous New Year. That means we get back on track with our UFO's right?  :-) Oh, but there is another week before we have to think about them though, thank goodness.   LOL!

Enjoy your holiday
May the true spirit of Christmas be with you all.

Christmas Sampler from Art to Heart Tidings book. The buttons that they sold to go with them, are just spectacular. They truly "make" the entire project. My hats off the the artist who had the patience to sit and craft these beauties from Polymer Clay.

Oh Christmas Tree Oh Christmas Tree

Just a few weeks back The Henry Glass Designers had a wonderful and free "Holiday Project Parade". It is always so much fun to see what the designers have been up to.

This little treasure is from Jacquelynn Steves from the Noble Wife.  I have always loved pin cushions, and this one just for the holidays struck my fancy. We all put our little finishing touches on things to make them our own, and I choose a spray glitter for mine. It was quite by accident, I found the can while cleaning our a drawer that hadn't been opened for quite some time. I completely forgot that I even had bought the stuff. While it is hard to see in a photo, it worked great and added just that special sparkle to my holiday trees.

Another one of the projects that I just loved was from Heather Mulder over at Anka's Treasures. This Holiday Dish Passer is just about as fast and easy as it comes. I was additionally very happy to find the casserole dish for it, at no place else but Wal Mart. It's a Paula Deen dish and the rich cranberry color was perfect for not only this project, but the season. So score, another Christmas gift is crossed off my list.

Wishing you the best and hoping your lists are getting shorter too!

Holiday Garland

It's so hard to decorate when your kids get old. At almost 30, my boys are just not as impressed with my Christmas Decorations as they were when they were 3. But after some thought, this idea of a garland with their favorite things on it came to life. One races cars and the other is a chef, so my garland had a theme.  I threw in a few bottles of their favorite drinks, and Viola! It came to life. Not the normal garland, but it should bring a smile to their faces!

Mug Rugs

Sitting here today with my coffee and lamenting over the state we live in now. I bought a new flavor of coffee creamer, Vanilla Nut Rum, and yes, it is absolutely as great as it sounds. But trying to break into the sealed foil under the top, proved to be quite the challenge. It got me remembering the days prior to that goof ball,  who tried to poison us all with something in Tylenol caplets. Remember that? If I am thinking correctly that was the beginning of the end of our innocence and many of our abilities to open bottles of anything. Today you have to arm yourself with knives, scissors and hands of steel (not buns) just to get things open, so you "can" use them. Does this seem really crazy to anyone but me. What the heck has happened to our society??

Ok, I will get off my soap box now. I wish this Vanilla Nut Rum had a little of the "real" rum in it, that might make me a little more mellow this morning!  :-)

What this post was all about before my crazy foil incident, was this new rage called mug rugs. These little treasures are so much fun to make. It opens your mind to new designs, and let you finish them quickly. Even the busiest of people can manage to finish up a 6" x 10" quilt in a sitting.

This has to be one of my favorite dollar store finds. The sentiment on the cup "OHHHH" so explains my situation this time of my life. It's a sad thing, but it happens to most of us! :-)

If you have younger children or grandchildren, don't leave them out. You can find the cutest little cups, even sippy cups and make them special "Milk Mats". What a great way to share some special time with a loved one.

And last but not least, Santa will be riding thru next week, and we all leave milk and cookies out for him don't we?????  Well, have a special little mat for him this season too...
                                                                      MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I love striped bindings, but I am seeing a trend here. Guess I need to go out and do some fabric shopping!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!

OK, so I have raised a house full of boys and never been able to sew for any of them. I made an effort a few times, but was never able to pull off anything they would walk out the door in, once they were old enough to talk. Needless to say, sewing for my boys has really never happened. Until of course this past year, when I dug out my old First Choice Boxer pattern. You know that one I bought 5 or 6 years ago. Who knew that boys of all ages love these boxers. I've even been coerced into making 'em for one of their friends too! Soooooo... what better than Christmas Panties for everyone! And I do mean everyone.  I used up so much of my old Christmas stash, that I actually had to run out, and buy more. There is even an evil surprise Christmas day for the dads, all of them, and my husband has a large family. It should keep their kids in stitches for years to come!  I know you wish you were going to be a mouse in the corner that day.  :-)

First Choice makes a dynamite pattern for these boxers. I found them pretty fast, and easy once I made the first pair and figured out the method of putting them together. They take about 1 yd each- 1 1/4 for extra large. If you have boxer lovin boys in your house, you might want to check them out.

Oh, since I was on this mission, I found a wonderful piece of Alexander Henry Christmas Boys and had to make a pair, for a friend of mine. Slightly adjusted so she gets no draft, if you get my drift!! LOL I can hardly wait to give these to her  :-)

OK I really need to quilt plotting and clean up this place before someone comes home and catches me!    Hope your holiday is delightful too.

Snowman Needle Book

Yestereday was such a special day for me. I am still reeling over it all. Madame Samm was so kind as to invite me to be a guest blogger over at Stash Manicure. I knew I had huge shoes to fill and I am so novice at blogging, but everyone made me feel right at home. I got a very nice email from MSamm last night asking me to guest post again in February. Yeah! I wasn't a complete flop!!!!  Happy Dance Happy Dance!!  As a result from this I had over 2000 views to my blog yesterday, too. Best yet I have 20 more followers. Whew! My head is spinning. Thank you Thank you Thank you is all I can say. I appreciate you all taking time out of your day to read my ramblings. My goal is to share, inspire and hopefully get a chuckle, from sharing my goofy sense of humor with everyone.  Please feel free to let me know what you like, what you dislike and what you would like to see in the future.  My ears are always ready to listen!

Sewn with Grace, you are the winner of my snap tape bag. Your comment was priceless and got a laugh out of me. As soon as I get your address from MSamm, it will be on it's way to you. Thank you "all" so much for your wonderful comments.

That being said, lets get back to those fast and easy little projects I promised to share.

Here is another one of those great freebies over at Connecting Threads, that you just have to try. It should take you longer to print off the pattern and collect the supplies than it does to make it, so what are you waiting for. Best yet, what a great addition to their adorable little snowman pin cushion for your favorite quilting sister! Right?  Hummmmm I have always wanted a sister! Anyone out there game?????

Snap tape bags

I just love these little bags with snap tape in them. You just pull the tops apart and they snap back into a closed position. I have rummaged thru my husbands shop and found a tape measure that was perfect for this job. You will see later on, just why.

Lets walk thru building your own bag. First you need to find an old metal tape measure. Take apart the container and remove the tape. The first one I did, I carefully hide the evidence in the trash, so my husband would not find it.  My evil quilting friend suggested that I put the cartridge back together and put it back in it's place in his shop, to just see how long it took him to find it, and what his reaction would be. Although tempting as it was, I chose my "chicken" method of just hiding the empty thing and making sure it went out to the trash!  :-)

You start with quilted fabric. I always seem to make my own, the choices on the market are OK, but never exactly what I am looking for. Cut 2 pieces, just slightly larger than you want your bag to be. If your not using a directional print as this one is, you can make one long strip and just fold in half.

Attach a piece of 2" binding folded in half  lengthwise to the front of the bag. Like the one on the top. Then you are going to press it up and over the underside of the bag, and stitch down like on the bottom. If you are going to put a pocket on one or both sides of the bag, now is the time to do so. I recommend one, at least, and I do a double row of stitching around the pocket. Keep in mind you will be folding over the top approximately 1 1/2" when deciding placement of the pockets.

Next, lay your 2 sides out on a table and mark your fold line. This needs to be about 1/2" to 3/4" more than the width of your tape measure you using. I like to chalk the line on both pieces at the same time to keep them even. Then I press them with steam to set them. Come back to your machine and stitch them down leaving the ends open.

It's time for the tape. You need to measure the width of your bag, and cut your tape 1" smaller than that measurement. It is very easy to cut this tape. I use one of those cheap pair of orange handle scissors. Warning! Once you do that, they will never cut another thing again, so make sure you find and old pair or a "dedicated to metal- from now on" pair for the project. You are going to want 2 layers of tape for each side of the bag. Round off the ends of all the tapes and stack them together. Use some kind of tape (I used painters tape) or a nice duct tape to tape off the ends so they don't wear a hole in your finished bag with use.

You want to push your tape into the sleeve you created for the front and back of the bag. Make sure your numbers are facing up so it snaps closed correctly. Now if you look closely at the 2 photos with the tape in it, you will notice the condition of this tape. (and trust me this was the best part of it) Really do we need to keep something that the numbers and lines are worn off ???? Especially if you are trying to take a precise measurement of anything.  Or is it just me!!!!!  :-)

Put your to pieces rights sides together and stitch them up.  Be careful when stitching close to the tape. I push them to the opposite side from where I am working, to make sure I don't hit them with a sewing machine needle. I straight stitch at 1/4" and then when I am done go around them with the serger to finish off the seams. Turn right side out and your done. How easy was that huh? I have made a bunch of different sizes. They are great to keep supplies for classes in. I can collect the book, fabrics, threads, etc. in them to take to a class. I also like big ones to stuff all my underwear in when I am traveling. It's kind of nice to have them all concealed.  With the TSA's X-ray eyes they can see them, but I can't when I open my bag! :-)

These are doubling as Christmas bags for me. I can put all the little trinkets I have collected for my friends inside and they have a new usable bag too!  Now start stitchin, it's not too late!   :-)  :-)  Stay tuned I have a few other quick and easy projects to share too. Can you tell I have had the week off from work. The timing is perfect and I am taking full advantage of it!

OK Probably not the best Christmas gift idea but...

One of my favorite quilt shops had this little redwork pattern on display last week. Of course I couldn't possibly walk out the door without one for myself. It's a little sacri-religious, so it might not be the best Christmas gift ever, but it sure brought a smile to my face. I found that the quality of the feed sack kitchen towels that I used was so poor that the design actually worked out much better when I digitized it and stitched it out as an embroidery design.

Deals

I was lucky enough to get "parole" as I like to refer to it, from going into work again today. I love it when we are in-between busy seasons, and they are more than willing to grant you time off without pay. It saves them a few bucks and it gives me the time I need to finish my holiday projects. Or as in this case take a class that I was longing to take!  On my way out of the driveway this morning, I had to turn around and grab my camera for this spectacular shot of the sunrise. I just love how the colors seem to dance in the sky. I know you've seen enough of my sunrise photos. I will quit for awhile now!  :-)  :-)

The class I took was a convergence class. It wasn't the first one I have made, but I tried a directional fabric, and I am not all that thrilled with the results. You can't turn it to get that really cool melding of fabrics, but I have a plan (scary as it is) and when I get it finished I will post it.

In the mean time I need to share a great website with you if your looking for sewing machine needles. CTSUSA.com A friend suggested it, and I ordered 100 organ Sharp Point Large Eye Metallic needles for under $24. Shipping is free too! They shipped within hours of my order and I had them in 3 days. What great service. Give them a try if your needing  needles. They do have quite a few other items on their site too!  Happy shopping! Now back to my convergence quilt!

Day Break

As I have mentioned before my work days start about 2am, so I seldom get to see much of the light of day. But I was lucky enough to see this wonderful sunrise on my day off the other day. I just had to share it with all of you.  No photo enhancing was done, just me and my little ole point and shoot Canon G9! It continues to amaze me, what it can do.
I am so glad that I woke early enough to see this incredible view. I, for one, take for granted my immediate surroundings and tend to not notice the beauty they hold.

Now I wonder how I can convert this into a quilt project????? Any ideas anyone?  I urge you to take some photos of your area and share them with us. It would be fun to see each other's back yards!

Mug Rugs

I have to share with you the wonderful mug rug I received in the mail from Betty. She was my partner in Aunt Polly's Porch mug rug swap. Can you believe what a wonderful package she sent to me? The adorable mug rug, and great stainless steel mug, hot chocolate, and candy! Only to top it off with ribbon and ric-rac thread and buttons. Whew, I am so lucky. Betty comes from quite a line of talent too. Her husband does wonderful cartoon drawings, one of which she put on the back of the recipe's we swapped, and her daughter in law is quite the accomplished scrapbooker and paper artist. I am lucky to have one of her cards too. If you want to see some inspiration that is over the moon great, check out her blog at http://madebynicole.blogspot.com/. Betty shared a delicious sounding recipe for Shortbread cookies. I will be giving them a try very soon. As for you Betty, words can't thank you enough. Your the best.

I have to confess, in my rush to thank Betty, I told her how delighted I was with the little watering can on the mug rug?????  The next day while enjoying my coffee on my new "rug" it dawned on me. Watering can???? It's a coffee cup. So I had to write an apology letter. I have to wonder some times about myself. Is it my rush to thank someone, my old mind going, or just that I'm a big ole goober! Whatever the case, Betty I love my rug. Thank you so much, for being so forgiving! And I am delighted to have a new Internet friend from this swap.

I can now share the little package that I sent to Betty.
In keeping with the theme of things, you can see that I put a cute little Elephant on her mug rug!    LOL!!!  Geesh, I hope that my mind doesn't get any worse with my age!  :-)

Give Thanks

Giving thanks is what this season is all about. Thanks to our troops who work tirelessly to keep us safe, at a great deal of risk to themselves. To the selflessness of their families who never know when or if they will see their love one again.

To our friends who deal with our crazyness and our families who allow us the time to follow our hearts when they really would just like a hot meal from time to time and maybe some clean clothes!  :-)

To this wonderful online community, I've had the pleasure of stumbling on. My blogging buddies have given me more inspiration and shown me more eye candy than my mind ever thought it could absorb. And yes! the many sleepless nights, when I couldn't drag myself away from the computer screen - just 1 more blog...

I really couldn't be more blessed, and I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Shrek

I had the pleasure of seeing "Shrek the Musical" at our preforming arts center the other night, and it was spectacular. I can't tell you when the last time was, that I laughed that hard. It is a perfect show for all ages. Take some time if you get a chance to see this show, you won't be sorry.

Now back to my sewing room and finish up those Christmas projects!  I have been working on them, really I have...

Turkey Time

Well, the count down is on. Soon the ovens will be cranked up and the pies and turkeys will be cookin! The beginning of our eat-a-thon holiday season!  I feel my thighs expanding as I type!  LOL!!

I have finished up my little fall quiltie from Kaaren over at The Painted Quilt. It's Autumn Blessings from her First Friday Freebie. If you have never visited Kaaren, treat yourself to a visit. She is so creative and sharing of her talents with us all. And for those who love Raggedy Ann's there is a block of the month that will knock your socks off. I was all caught up on my months till this last month, and Christmas projects got in my way, but I will be back on track real soon, I promise Kaaren!

Make sure that you check out the Christmas Quilt Show over at SewGalCal's. There are some incredible bloggers with fun things to share. Just clink on the link of the right side of my blog, grab a cup of coffee and prepare yourself for motivation to keep us stitchin for many moons to come!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I will be thinking of you all while I work my 16 hr day that day. It's all good. No cooking or cleaning for me this time around!!  And better yet they cater Thanksgiving dinner to us who have to work. So it's really a win-win for me and my pay off is that I don't have to work any of the other holidays! :-)

Enjoy your day! Don't over stuff yourselves!! :-)

Christmas Blog Hop

The weather outside is frightful, but holiday blog hopping is delightful! And timely too. It's just weeks away now, and time to really put ourselves in high gear and get those projects finished up. I have no doubt that as I look thru all the wonderful blogs, that I will find more inspiration than time will allow. But there is always next year, right?

I would like to share my most recent finish. It's from 'Tis the Season Quilts and other Comforts by Jeanne Large and Shelley Wicks. Click on the title for a link to Amazon. :-)  I first saw this beauty on our quilt shop bus tour in September. Having collected nickel squares for years, I was thrilled to find a way to use them. The blocks in the pattern were slightly larger, but a square is a square and it all worked out great. I love fusible applique and the buttons on for the holly berries just add that magic touch. There is plenty of time yet, to whip up one for yourself!

I love this book so much that I decided that I needed to make a Christmas quilt for my bed this year too. "To All a Good Night," and I am hoping that it will be finished so I have visions of sugar plums dancing thru my head under my new quilt!  We will see, I am slaving away finishing up my gifts right now too!
I am sure you have all seen the "Mug Rugs" that are wildly popular in our bloggy world. I just finished a swap at Aunt Pitty Pats and am looking forward to getting my package in the mail. This little guy is "Not" the one I sent along to my partner. Until I hear that she received things safe and sound, it will remain a secret! :-)  :-)  But I did make up this one for a class sample and will be teaching a class Dec 12th at Wooden Spools Quilt Shop if you live in the Denver area. It's sure to be tons of fun and just in time to finish up those last minute gifts! If you haven't made one of these, you have no idea how much fun your are missing. The magic little 6"x10" size makes it fast and easy. Gotta love those kind of projects. Whatever your project is, be sure to post it. I am sitting right here waiting to see what you have been up to! A big thanks to you - SewCal Gal for hosting a great Christmas Quilt Show!

It's a Wrap

I just had to take advantage of spending a Sunday afternoon at our newest quilt shop in Denver, so my friend and I packed up our stuff, and took an It's a Wrap Basket Class. (I found this photo from class on facebook, thanks Wooden Spools)

The supplies to do this have been in my studio forever, and I had even made a basket long ago, but symmetrical it wasn't! While the technique really is easy, for me a class with instruction, tips and secrets, makes all the difference in the world. It was an added thrill to find such a wonderful group of gals to spend the afternoon with. Every one's baskets came out beautifully and I think we all inspired each other in the process.

Here is my finished basket from class

And it's first counterpart "the" really symmetrical one!  LOL And why is it, that I would decide to pick out the most difficult thing in the book for a first project????

Now for the fabric. This was given to me by a friend a few years back. She thought it was the most horrible thing she had ever seen and was thrilled to "dump" it on me. As everyone who reads my blog knows, I love the outdoorsy look and the colors were wonderful to my eye. At least I thought till I got home with the stuff and decided she was right, it was pretty horrid. So it sat on my shelf collecting dust. Until---It's a Wrap called. If I say so myself though, torn up into 3/4" strips and wrapped on clothesline then stitched down, it's not bad at all. So there you go Deb, I used it and it came out great!

This reminds me of a Quiltville's Bonnie Hunter Quote. If a fabric is really ugly, then you haven't cut it small enough. She swears that every fabric has it's place, but the uglier the piece, the smaller you need to chop it!  :-) Now that's some food for thought!

Another PIG done

I am finally getting back to my game plan, of actually finishing some things. I drug all my unfinished projects out earlier this year, only to stack them in yet another corner and "not" do anything with them. Gheez, even the best layed plans can fail. How does that happen???

But yesterday I put the finishing touches on this very old "PIG" and we can check Calendar Cats off the list and consider it done. This one is so old that I have even managed to loose the book now! So, I really don't have much to tell you about it, other than it is really a cute little thing completed. If I remember right, part of the issue was finding all the cat eyes. That was a challenge, until last spring when I was in Alaska. I found a shop that was clearing out a huge bag of the things, cheap! So now I have eyes for quite a few of these quilts and no pattern to be found! Doesn't that just figure. LOL!!

I have even cleaned out my book shelves and still not found the darn thing. But all was not lost, because in two weeks our little quilt group is having a garage sale. Get this, no money changes hands, you just take your quilt things you no longer want or use and put them out for someone else who might want them. We all get to shop each others "stuff" or "crap-ola" as I prefer to call it!  hahaha  I seem to have quite a few bags of my treasured Crap-ola, to take along. Bonus!!! I have room on my bookshelves now.   It's a great way to trade away things you really don't want anymore, and pick up some new things in the process. What doesn't manage to find new homes will be donated to a quilting organization of some kind. Sounds like everybody wins on this one. Better yet, we pot luck, so I am looking towards some great grub while I shop! Yum Yum!

On that note we had a new place open in Denver this week. Wooden Spools quilt shop. We went to visit the other day and were very excited with it. They have a pretty unique concept. They purchase your old fabrics that are in good shape (fat quarters or half yards) for $1 a pound then resell them for $5 a yard. You get rid of your stash you will never use and someone else gets great fabrics for a good price. All nice quilt shop quality fabrics. I spent a fortune the other day on fabric, while my friend cleaned up on brand new yarns that they bought for a song from a closing shop. All the savings get passed along, and it's fun to look thru things. We had such a good time that tomorrow, we are taking an "It's a Wrap" class there. Watch out for a new project soon, if all goes well that is!

And yeah, I know my book shelf is great, and my fabric shelf is exploding! Guess I better start sewing some more.

The jury is in - Ramblings on fabrics...

The avid "raw edge" appliquer that I am, I have often wondered just how much difference, my using Fray Check or Fray Block on the pieces would really make. Most of my things are art quilt type of things that would never get washed, but there are those occasional other things, that would likely find their way into a washer from time to time. So I set out to find out just what the differences are.

Here are 3 blocks. The top one has had nothing put on it and as you can see, there was quilt a bit of raveling on the applique pieces after 1 wash.

.
From what I can tell, there is very little difference between the Fray Check and the Fray Block. I switched a couple of years back to Fray Block. I wish I could tell you why, but I really don't know now.  There might be a tiny little amount of extra fraying on the Fray Check block, but I am not sure if that isn't just from the difference in fabrics. The more solid rusty orange fabric is a top quality quilt shop fabric, while the brighter, checked orange is a JoAnn's fabric. It shouldn't have held up as well in the wash, but I am not seeing that result.
So what I have come up with after this little experiment is, that both seem to do the job they were designed to do which is good news for us! It's my opinion that all raw edge applique should have something used on it.

This got me to thinking about fabrics. It seems that quilt shop quality fabrics can in fact be as subjective as any other fabric in quality. It's my humble opinion, there is a time and a place for all fabrics regardless of the price point for that fabric. I love going into quilt shops and seeing everything they have to offer, but the $$$$$'s can be a big factor, in a project. Personally, I feel that not all JoAnns' or Hobby Lobby fabrics are a lower quality either. So for myself, I am happy to use a "mixed bag" in my projects. After all, originally didn't they chop up old clothes and piece them back together to make something to keep warm with? I know there are precious few that survived and they are "treasures" like no other. My projects will likely not last an eternity, but neither will I, and for me it's the journey I took creating it, that is more important. If it gets used up till it's no more, than it lived a good life! So no matter what our means or purpose, there is something for everyone and room for all, in our quilting world.
Go out and create your personal treasure!! Then share it with us all.
There is "NO" better inspiration than that!

Bloggers Quilt Festival

Yeah! The Fall Bloggers Quilt Festival over at Amy's Creative Side begins today. It is always one of my favorite times. We get to see so many of our fellow quilters, share ideas and get inspirations in mega doses from all over the world. If you have never taken the time to visit Amy, now is the time to do so. I promise it will absolutely be well worth it .

I am sharing a new finish for me this week. It's not my best work, and the oldest PIG (project in grocery sack) that I had buried in my pile. I have no idea why it decided this was the week to be quilted and called a done deal. My friend Ruth tells me that our quilts talk with us and let us know when the time is right to work on them. Humm I wonder if she knows something or has just been hitting the sauce a little to much!  This folk art quilt was one of the very first quilts I ever made. From that time, back when I had no idea what a quilt was, but I knew wanted to make one. I have to laugh when I see the fabrics that stripes don't match up and things are not on the straight of grain. Who knew then, that all these things really do make a difference. Better yet, I have discovered that "I" must have really been the one to discover "Texture Magic." If I had only known how popular it would become, I might be rich and famous from it. It doesn't show up so much, but the borders are definitely texturized. I had to really quilt the "bejeebers" out of em to get em hammered down. On any other quilt I would take off the borders and start over, but this being a my first real quilt I feel I needed to preserve the integrity (or lack of) for prosperity!!! hahahahahaha  I probably shouldn't share my pleated backing with you either, but we all had a first at one time of our lives, and there was no quilt basting spray back then and who had every heard of a long arm????? So pleated backs must have been the norm right? What might shock you all is the fact, that with all it's sins, the thing quilted up square! Now how does that happen?????   I am pretty excited about finishing this one up and thru all it's many faults, I love it. I hope to see you visit my blog from time to time, and I do promise that you will not likely see a project like this here again!  (quilt fairy's willin)   :-) Enjoy blog hoppin!

Last of the Halloween posts

I promise. It is the last of my projects for this season and I have to say, it  speaks to me. This little guy's snarky grin seems just as evil as I am.   :-)  :-)  He can be found along with some other great patterns in a book called "My Autumn" from Disa Designs. If you haven't seen their books, they have some great ones and they are all very fast and easy.  So on that note, I wish you all a Happy Halloween!  Next stop on this quilting trail is a few UFO's that I have actually managed to finish!!! YEAH!!!!!

*********** Just a reminder note, that when I refer to different patterns, I try to add links to make  it easier for you to find them. Make sure you drag your cursor over my posts to look for those links!

Halloween Blog Hop

I hope you all had a chance to follow the Halloween Blog Hop a couple of weeks back. 10 wonderful people shared their creativity with us in an array of fast and fun little seasonal projects. This one from Sandy Gervis was just about as fun as can be to work on. I have just recently been introduced to working with wool, and let me tell you, it's just darn fun. That little bit of handwork is very relaxing and the texture is incredible. I think it's probably my favorite thing to do right now. You can hop on over to Gudrun's World blog for a run down of all the fun projects. After all there is still a few more days left!
