Moose Crossing

Now, I know you are not shocked that there is another moose in the Moosestash!

LOL!

This guy, came from Alaska.
Ketchikan, to be exact.

A few years back we went on an Alaska cruise and stopped in port.
My quiltin' friend and I made a quick dash to the quilt shop.

We each bought a kit, and fusible web, then ran to the hardware store to get pencils before the ship left. On our day at sea, we spent our time in the library, tracing and gazing out the window at the water, and all the wildlife.
It was so much fun.
Best yet, Princess Cruise lines has irons and ironing boards in the laundry room.
You can imagine the looks we got when folks saw us fusing away, down there!

Now if it had been a quilting cruise, no one would have even noticed!

;-)

Does this qualify as a quilting cruise????
That's on my bucket list, you know.

  4. I'm thinking you both got a lot accomplished on this cruise. Probably more than lots of people do on real quilting cruise.

  5. How very clever of you to utilize your sea day doing creative fabric fusing and prepping to make this wonderful quilt. Where there is will there is a way...

  6. this is wonderful and what fun. sounds like you had a fantastic time. :)
What pens do you use for the back of your quilts? I would like to put a label on the back of the quilt I made for our sons wedding. I would like to use one that I know someone else is extremely happy with. I was going to just pick one up at Jo-anns but then though what if after sewing it on, it smears or runs or washes out. Oh horrors. I really want a reliable pen for this particular label. If you can help me I would so appreciate it. Thanks
