Planes Trains & Automobiles Island Batik Blog Hop

It's sad, but its true...
Today is the last day of our hop!

But that doesn't mean that there are not some incredible things to see.
You, know how they say, they save the best for last!
;-)

It's all about the holidays today.
We are going out with a bang.
Let the Christmas cheer begin!

(in a quilt shop near you in Apr/May)

I'm sharing this project from the "Holiday Happenings" line.
They were for Island Batik and fall market last year.
Can anyone guess why I love this line???
If you know me, you know about my Moose fetish.
Yep, there's a moose right there in the logo!
It was met to be.
:-)

I especially wanted to show you, that just because it's
a holiday fabric, it doesn't necessarily mean
it's only for that season.
In this case, every season is "wildlife" season!

The "Professional Tote" by The Creative Thimble,
 is a great travel bag.

Plenty of pockets, and zippers to keep things safely contained.

The inside holds yet another large zipper compartment for those big items,
as well as many other pockets and even a key chain clip.

The back has a strap that slides right over your luggage handle!
And of course more pockets!

Each side has these handy drawstring pouches, to keep those much needed items at your fingertips.

Here's a little tip...you can pack this as your overnight bag with a change of clothes and the essentials. I drop my wallet and I-Pad in there too. It's purse size and fits right under your seat on an airplane.  It's considered your "personal" item. I've worked for the airlines for over 21 years now. Let me just tell you...
ALWAYS, always, always pack a change of clothes,
pj's, your travel size essentials,
medications, keys, important papers, travel documents, etc.
in a carry on and take it with you. Stuff happens, and you don't want to get caught without clean panties!
Know what I mean? ;-)
LOL!!!

Talking travel...
How many of you have a black roller bag?
It's hard to figure out just which one is yours, some days.
Make it easier, with a custom luggage tag!
There's a great "free" pattern over at StudioKat Designs.
You can find it right HERE

Next up is this "Cell Phone Wallet" from Cut Loose Press.
I use this daily as my wallet in my purse.
It tri-folds opens, to have slots for 6 credit cards.
There are 3 deep pockets for money and phone, and there's a
clear plastic pocket for your drivers license.
Best yet, you take it out, swing it over your shoulder, and off you go,
if you don't want to carry a big purse.

Lastly this fun little "Suzie Sack" from This & That Patterns.
At just 4 1/2" x 6 1/2", it's the perfect place to tuck things away,
and it clips to just about anything!

It's a "Holiday Happening" that can last all year long!

One last big THANKS to the fine folks at "Island Batik",
and my fellow ambassadors who have shared so much with us!
It's a pleasure to be a part of such a great bunch!

You'll want to make sure you check out their new catalog
The holiday projects will knock your socks off!

Stop by and see what by fellow ambassadors are
wrapping up the hop with!

Keep on Stitchin

  2. I have made 3 professional bags so far. 2 for my daughter and one as a diaper bag for my daughter-in-law. She opted not to have the inside center divider pocket which made it a lot easier to make. Your bag looks great.
