I had my son first and that's all I ever wanted. I had lots of female issues and wanted no more children. I had even been to the gynecologist and was on the way to the hospital for surgery the next day. I saw my husband actually in tears. So, I put it off and with fertility pills (no IVF then) I got pregnant three months later. I've always thought (since I was charting my whole life) that I lost another baby the month before I got pregnant again. So, God had other plans and I have a daughter, too. Just because I was so ill that I didn't want another child doesn't mean that I don't love and adore her as much as her older brother. Now, she has two adorable boys (7 and 2). My son has a 7 year old son (he'll be 8 on the 25th). I love when I tell people I have three grandsons - like two seven year olds and a 2 year old. Are the 7 year olds twins? I laugh - one is my son's and one is my daughter's, so I sure hope not. One is half Hispanic and we are not. One is husky and one is skinny, skiiny, skinny. So, knowing what I know, I always chuckle. Now, we are eagerly awaiting DNA results to see if a precious 4 month old girl is my son's. I'm excited to think about sewing pink (even though for a time PINK was the fav color of one of the older boys) and lacy, frilly things. We are all resigned to letting God be in control and helping us with any decisions that need to be made based on the results. We should know later this week or early next. I love the quilt. Now, who gets blessed with that quilt/ I have an applique pattern and all the fabrics for a quilt. Of course, at the time I only ordered one kit. I think I know where lots of fabric lives and also where the LQS are and also how to shop online. Thanks for a wonderful project and bringing up so many wonderful memories. I loved your pictorial parade. And, the giveaway fabric is dynamite. We have gone from mini bikes to dirt bikes to mud trucks and motorcyles. Now it seems to be 4 wheelers. They are both in their 30s, but I don't believe they will ever grow up entirely. Now my girl age 14 was quiet the tomboy who preceded to tun into quiet the beauty who is a total girls girl. My brother was a horror. Total boy and still is. He put my mom though the mill he found baby mice and put them in a empty 2 liter soda bottle and brought them in the house put it under his bead my mom found it the next day and to her horror discovered holes where the Lil boogers chewed out. She was some kinda upset over that one but I do believe her biggest scares this.. She was cleaning out the deep freezers. We used to grow and put up about 90 percent of our food. She discovered medicine pill bottles in the freezer at the back she thawed them out then proceeded to dump them out in the kitchen sink to figure out what they were. He had baby snakes he had caught and frozen. My poor mom almost had total heartt failure over that one.Tammyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10572900779018937820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8671331723830182656.post-5454535873877874212013-11-14T10:40:45.802-07:002013-11-14T10:40:45.802-07:00I see the love in your photos and your Monster qui...I see the love in your photos and your Monster quilt "For the Boys" is uber clever.
